It is very interesting to note that Thomas Diggs of Louisa Co. and Thomas Digges, known son of Edward Digges, were born about the same time. However, my Thomas died in Louisa Co., VA after 13 April 1843 when he wrote his will. It was proved 14 August 1843.
The marriage record I found for my Thomas Diggs follows:
The Rev. William Douglas' Register of Goochland Co., VA marriages recorded that Thomas Diggs, in Louisa, & Ann Kent, in Albemarle, married 9 June 1775. The register was of the ceremonies Rev. Douglas performed in St. James Northam Parish, Goochland County, Virginia.
Indications are that my Thomas is not of the line of Royal Gov. Edward Digges, but I really want to find my missing link. I want to be positive.
