Re: Edward Digges & Elizabeth Page. I haven't seen too much information regarding this family so I will post the family of Edward Digges. I am giving up genealogy and I wanted to make sure that this information was available to all of those who do not have the opportunity to go to the library. Edward Digges was born 3-15-1621 Chilham Castle, Kent, England. He married Elizabeth Page c1651 in Virginia. He came to Virginia in c1650.(New Kent Cty.Va.) He married c1650 and Edward died 3-15-1675 in Belfield-York County,Va. He was age 55 years and will proved 6-15-1675 in General Court. His tombstone has on it that he had 6 sons and 7 daughters of whom only four are known....However, I have found 6 children. The ones that I have found are these: William(Elizabeth Seawell;) c1652; Mary(Francis Page); Anne(William Cole);...I saw difference on his marriages...I had Wm.Cole married #1 unknown #2 wife was Ann) Dudley/ Susanna Cole who had a son Col born 1692/1744 who married Eliz. Power d/o Henry. Catherine who married William Herndon. (George Herndon married a Sarah Wingfield and their daughter Sarah married Henry McCoy.) still looking for parents of Sarah Wingfield. and lastly Thomas and Edward who I do not have any information on. So the children who have names listed are these: William; Mary; Anne; Dudley; Catherine; Thomas; and Edward. That leave 2 sons and 4 daughters unaccounted for. I hope this will help someone locate the other children. The children of Wm. and Elizabeth Seawell are: Edward; William; Charles; Dudley; John; Nicholas; Jane; Elizabeth; Ann; and Mary. Elizabeth was the d/o Henry of Patuxent, Md. and the step-daughter of Lord Baltimore (born in England) William died 5-24-1698 and will proved 9-19-1695 in York Cty. Their eldest son removed to Charles Cty. Md. (Sheriff)which I think was William born c1652. I also saw on a history of the governors of Virginia that he had 13 children.
