Diggs DNA Project

My name is Chuck Owens and my Great Grandmother was Eleanor Diggs. I am starting a Diggs DNA project with Family Tree DNA whose purpose will be to do genetic genealogy on the surname Diggs and all of its variants ie. Digges, Degge, etc. I am also the co-administrator of the Diggs DNA Project along with Terry Barton. The DNA testing will help enable Diggs family members to figure out which Diggs family they belong to. My recommendation is that our group make use of the Y-chromosome testing on male direct line descendants for our DNA project.
As a further suggestion for greater accuracy in the results obtained, I recommend that members of our group use either the 25 marker test(Y-DNA25) or the 37 marker test (Y-DNA37). For those who want to participate, information on the DNA testing can be found out:
http://www.familytreedna.com/

The tests can be ordered through this web site:
http://worldfamilies.net/surnames/d/diggs/

Only male descendants who are direct line descendants can participate. If you can't participate directly you can still help out by finding a brother or cousin or uncle or nephew who can. I'm not a male direct line descendant either.

Everyone who wants to participate, feel free to contact me. Also, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Chuck Owens
