Hi Sylvia, We may have corresponded previously about the DIGGS line so if I've already given you this information, please forgive my poor memory. I can tell you that last year I visited Alamo Baptist Church Cemetery, Obion Co., TN where many of my ancestors were buried. Joe William and Josephine (WAINSCOTT) DIGGS are buried there. Here is what I transcribed from their tombstones. "MOTHER" Josephine DIGGS Dec. 17, 1862 - Sep. 10, 1941 Joe William DIGGS Feb. 14, 1861 - Aug. 23, 1936 Celina (COLLINS) DIGGS is also buried there (1825 - 1894 on stone) Next to her is Sarah SCOTT (Nov. 5, 1847 - Nov. [?] 1926) I noticed in the 1850 Carroll Co. TN Census that George Green and Celina had a daughter named Sarah M. (3 yr. old in that census). That would make her birthdate around 1847. I'm wondering, just out of curiosity, if this Sarah SCOTT was their daughter. Also, do you, by any chance, have a list of the children of George Green DIGGS and Celina COLLINS? I'm confused since I can't seem to sort them out from the 1850, 1860, and 1870 censuses. Their daughter, Kizziah DIGGS, was the wife of my gg uncle, John E. HILL, and she married Robert SIMMONS after John's death. Robert was the son (by a first marriage) of my g grandfather, John SIMMONS. Kizziah is also buried at Alamo Baptist Church Cemetery. Also, Josephine (WAINSCOTT) DIGGS was the daughter of John W. WAINSCOTT and Nancy Ann HILL. Nancy Ann was my gg aunt. I've posted a partial transcription of the Alamo cemetery at TNGenWeb.org (Obion Co., TN site). Thanks very much. Brenda Notify Administrator about this message?
