I do not have the marriage record of CHARLES B. DIGGS to DEMARIS PARRISH, but I do have the date of 20 January 1845 at Greenbrier, VA.
The following is the record of his marriage to LAVENIA C. PARRISH:
The marriage bond found in LOUISA CO., VA MARRIAGE VOLUME 3, page 7, line 19 records that CHAS. B. DIGGS was a 62 yr. old widowed resident of Louisa Co., VA at the time of his marriage to LAVENIA. It also states that he was the son of JOHN and DOLLY DIGGS. LAVENIA was 36 yrs. old, a resident of Louisa Co., VA, widowed, and daughter of LEVI and SARAH PARRISH. H. P. R. McCOY officiated at the ceremony.
The marriage bond of JOHN DIGGS to DOROTHEA ANTHONY was recorded 8 March 1790. No parents' names were recorded. James Anthony was the Surety and Witness. LOUISA CO., VA MARRIAGE BOND, p. 151.
JAMES ANTHONY was probably her father. Her nickname was DOLLY. The JOHN DIGGS who married DOROTHEA ANTHONY was the son of JOHN DIGGS and LUCY (maiden name unknown) and the brother of THOMAS DIGGS.
