Susan,
I've checked and the Sir Dudley (1583-1639) I have didn't have a son named William, only John, Thomas and Edward. This Sir Dudley was married to Mary Kempe. I have no further info on John or Thomas, but show Edward (Gov. of VA. born abt. 1621 and died 1675) married to Elizabeth Page and they had a son named William. They also had 5 other children - Catherine, Mary, Ann, Dudley, and Edward. Of course all of this could be in error - there are a lot of Dudleys, Williams, etc - too bad there wasn't a law saying you couldn't reuse a name! Sure would make genealogy a lot easier!
