Proof and documentation are very important to me [to all of us, I believe].
If you are able to provide any information regarding the families in
question, will you please clearly identify the sources of that information?
[I'm not saying that it has to be a recognized source or even a good source.
I just want to know where the information came from.] Also, if you
have names and addresses of others whom you feel might be knowledgeable
about any of the persons/families identified, I would certainly like to have

DIGGS GARNER CULP HUTTON
My ancestor, Robert G. L. GARNER was born c1817 TN, d before 1870?, m 7 Feb. 1842 Henry Co. TN to Anna Eliza DIGGS b c1825 TN). The GARNERs resided 1850 Laclede Co. MO, 1860 Camden Co. MO -- widow(?) "Eliza" in 1870 and 1880 Benton Co. AR. According to family information and census records, the children were James R. b c1843 KY, Frances b c1845 MO, John D. b c1847 MO, William H. b c1849 MO, David G. b c1853 MO; Robert Franklin (my ancestor) b c1858 MO, m1877 Barry Co. MO to Mary Elizabeth CULP (dau. of Adam CULP b1839 Scioto Co. OH and Catherine HUTTON).
Interested in finding proof of how my GARNER ancestors fit in with the
GARNERS of Bedford Co. TN, Calloway Co. KY (adjacent Henry Co. TN), and
Marshall Co. MS. Also seek proof of the relationship of my DIGGS ancestors
and the DIGGS of North Carolina (Anson Co.?), Henry Co. TN, and Marshall Co.
MS. How were my ancestors related to the following persons:
1. John GARNER b1780s, resided 1830 and 1840 Calloway Co. KY);
2. John GARNER b c1794 NC, resided 1830 Bedford Co. TN, 1840 Marshall Co. TN which was formed from Bedford, and 1850 Marshall Co. MS (John GARNER 56 NC, Elizabeth 52 NC, James 16 TN, Thomas 14 TN, Rufus 11 TN);
3. Matthew GARNER b c1800 NC, like John, resided 1830 and 1840 Bedford Co.
Tn and1850 Marshall Co. MS;
3. Pleasant DIGGS of 1840 Henry Co. TN (same name, not necessarily same
person appears in 1850 Marshall Co. MS census: Pleasant DIGGS b c1795
NC).
