My great grandmother was Mary Ellen Digges,born 6 Oct 1864 in King & Queen County, VA. She died 30 Oct 1927 and was buried in Newport News, VA. She married William Pierce Fox on 12 April 1882. Her parents were Rev. Issac Digges and Anne Elizabeth Merrick. I know she had a brother Robert Dudley Digges who served in the Civil War. There are rumors that Mary Ellen was adopted, but we have no proof. Any information concerning this family, earlier generations, and any siblings would be appreciated, along with any proof that Mary Ellen was adopted. Thanks for any help! Bill
