I think I lost ya. Let me try to explain. Alex of 1755 is not the only Diffey to take the O.of A.in 1776 in MD. Technically the name was Alex Duffey. who of course is Alex Diffey of 1755(or Alex 1755 father) Also in 1776, same Co. in MD John Duffey(Diffey) did also. Its not that they were Duffeys. They just could not spell. (like me).

Another example is when Victor 1808 married Chalp he spelled his name Duffey. When Owen married Mary Moore he spelled his name Duffey.

My point is you gotta keep a open mind when you are working this puzzle.

Example. Maybe we were Duffeys first. There is a Danial Duffey married in Kent Co. MD in 1717.

Fact is I have never seen evedince that Mary Low and Owen Diffey are Victor and Owen's parents. And say they are Owen and Victors parents. Mary Low was born 1769. Kinda old for a mother back then to have a child Mary E. 1820. One of 2 (Jamama) sisters of Owen and Victor.

Your thoughts?

Darin Spurrior Diffey
