I don't know if Prudence Lowe is related. I haven't had any success yet in proving a relationship with any Low/Lowe family but then I must admit I haven't searched as thoroughly on this line as I have others. The 1810 census has a Nicholas Lowe on page 566. Alexander Diffey is on page 561. On the 1820 census Alexander Diffey is listed on page 207 and Joseph Low is on page 203. On the 1850 census, there is a Joseph Low (age 38)next door to Victor Diffey.

On the 1860 census, Baltimore Co, 1st district page 215 are Alexander & Mary(Low) Diffey & 2 others, Victor & Mary with 6 children, Mary Low (age 50) with 4 other Lows. Will send details if you don't already have them.

Do you know anything about the Harp family? Sarah Diffey married William Harp 16 Sep 1792. Sarah Harp is listed on the 1820 census in Baltimore County, 1st district, page 186. Caroline Diffey is located on same page. Have data from these if you don't.

Another marriage of interest is Jemina Diffey to William Stevens 14 April 1808.
