On the 1850 Jefferson Co., AL Census is a listing for Margaret Diffey, age 94, SC. She is living in household of Abbey Reid (female) age 55, SC.

Children:
Ravelin, 19 male AL
John, 15 AL

Next door is:
James Diffey, 48 SC
Sarah 45 SC
Aneline 22 AL
Abbey Gill Diffey 20 AL
William 16 AL
Mary A. 12 AL
Peter 6 AL

My guess is James Diffey and Abbey Reid are probably siblings, and Margaret, their mother.

Appreciate any information on this family. I would especially like to know where in SC they were from, and any related families.
