Mr. Tyner, While others say IGNORANCE IS BLISS, I find it very unhandy, to say the least. I think that you might find the connection in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. The earliest records I know of are from a German Reform Church,
where child Elizabeth Defy, was born 1 Feb. 1754. Her parents were William and Elizabeth Defy.There was also a John Diffy there. I think he paid taxes on 100 acres of land. You might find some of the internet info interesting, such as, The Marshall Report, which suggests that the Elrods Allreds and Diffeys knew each other before moving to North Carolina, and had thoughts that they both my have came from Palatine area of Germany. I may now be rambling. JMD
