I am still looking for more information on the family of Henry Dietz and wife Mary of the 1860 census of Birmingham Dist, Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co, PA. His wife Mary 1830-1914 was buried in the Birmingham Cemetery as was henry. He has a military marker. Does anyone have his pension record? Does anyone have the maiden name for Mary.

Do you know what town or state in Bavaria where they were born?

Any information on the ancestors or desc of Henry would be appreciated. Please email me.

a few months ago I posted this:
On the 1860 census, Allegheny Co, PA, Birmingham Dist, Buchanan PO page 34, Dwelling 203, Fam 233 is a Henry Dietz 36 laborer, b Bavaria ca 1824 and wife Mary Dietz 29, Bavaria with family, dau Mary age 5.

Living in the household is my great grandfather, George Koch/Cook age 29, a carpenter from Bavaria and wife Catharine Koch 31 b Bavaria and children.

We also have a legend that George Cook was a furniture maker as well as carpenter. Does this also fit the profile for this Henry Dietz? I have seen messages here that some of the Baltimore Dietz were furniture (chair) makers?
