You did not provide enough information for me to try a match with my Dietz ancestors. Possibly the following information will help:
Joseph Dietz m. Josephine Fuchs in Germany.
Their children were Mary Rose b. 9/26/1874 in Dusseldorf(She was my grandmother), Minnie and Rose.
The family immigrated to America about 1880 and settled eventually in New Haven, Connecticut.
Mary Rose Dietz married Thomas Francis Fitzpatrick (b. 1/1/1873 in New Haven) in New Haven 11/15/1897, and they lived their entire married lives in New Haven.
Mary and Thomas had five children, all female, Marion, Alice (Moody), Anna, Eleanor(Andrews)and Frances (Kindt).
The names Ferdinand and Catherine ring a very distant bell.
