Hello, I found my Dietz Family in the 1880 St. Louis, Mo. census. It lists my GreatGreatGrandfather Charles Frank Dietz as: Born Prussia, age 65, occupation box maker.

His wife is Anna, age 50
Daughter Emilia, age 22
Son Herman, age 18
Son Edward F., age 16 (my greatgrandfather)
Daughter Louisa, age 14
Son Otto, age 12
Son Gustav, age 9

Herman is also listed as a box maker, Edward as a jeweler.
Is there any connection?
