Hello,

I am seeking information about my grandfather Bernhardt? (Bernhard,Bernard) Dietz, who was born May, 1857 somewhere in Germany. I'm trying to find the town or village where he was born.

He immigrated in 1884 to New York and married Christina Staab in 1887.

I've already found his naturalization papers, searched for his death certificate, and searched the passenger list, but have not been able to find his place of birth in Germany.

Any information or suggestions on research would be greatly appreciated.
