My husband says you've gotten many things wrong in the account of the Deitz Massacre. Am I wrong to suggest that you're not from the Albany Co. Area? We've taken pictures of the site of the massacre, where the DAR put up a monument. It is not the same site that the state put up a marker. I will email you very soon with the research my husband has. He says you are confused by the William Deitz's, as everyone named their children the same names. If you can receive attachments, I will scan the information that my husband gives me.
Deborah Cote Deitz Also, when I emailed you about a Wilhelm Deitz carving on the Old Stone Fort in Schoharie, I was wrong, it is carved Willem Deitz.
So many Willems, Johannes's and Adams to get it straight,
Deborah Cote Deitz
