I am trying to identify the parents of Maria Elisabeth Dietz, b. abt. 1732, m. Jacob Weidman as his second wife 11 Dec 1750. (Jacob first m. Elizabeth Overbaugh / Oberbach on 15 Sep 1743, Loonenberg Luth. Ch, Loonenberg, now Athens, Greene Co., NY.) Maria Elisabetha and husband raised raised their children in Berne, Albany County, NY.

Maria Elisabeth is said to be the d/o Johann Peter Dietz whose adult children settled in Schoharie Co. bet, 1730 - 1740, except for Johannes who had a farm in Berne. I believe she is probably not Johann Peter's dau. If she is, I am seeking supporting evidence. If she is not, whose dau. is she? That is the question!
