PA 1738 : Dietz-Teach family

Our ancestors arrived as a family group in PA in 1738, they immigrated from Germany on the Billender Thistle. Those who could write, wrote their names as DIETZ, such as Johann Jacob Dietz. Those who signed their mark, were listed by the English purser on the manifest as TEACH; such as Uriah, Woldrich, Michall, and Petter Teach.

There are quite a few of us TEACH who are aware of the Americanization of the family name from DIETZ to TEACH.

We are a group descending from MATHIAS TEACH (probable son of PETTER TEACH) and one of his sons, PETER TEACH, from FRANKLIN Co PA.

We would be so happy to meet up with DIETZ decsendants who are aware of that 1738 immigration...or us!
