David A. Diehl / Deihl / Deal, OH 1870s

David A. Diehl/Deihl/Deal (all spellings occur) married Belenia Simon (6mar1852, Bloom Twp, Wood Co, OH -11mar1884, same), dau. of Levi Simon & Mary Ann Pfister, on a date and at a location unknown. They had at least five children: sons Harve, Gideon, James, and Howard (all still living about 1930) and my grandmother, Myrtle Liliom Diehl/Deihl.

Myrtle married Homer Tyner in 1900, and died in Findlay, OH, about 1930. Although there are Diehl connections to the Simons from the 18th Century, I can find no info on David A. Diehl's antecedents, birth and death, etc.

Levi Simon, Belenia's father, was born in Mahoning County, OH, whence he migrated to Wood County about 1860. Myrtle Diehl was born in PA, which may indicate that David had family or work connections there.

Any info on David A. Diehl/Deihl/Deal's family or circumstances would be welcome.

Step Tyner
