Researching Jacob DIEHL, b. 26 April 1823, d. 22 March 1901, who lived in Southampton Township of Bedford Co., PA. He was married to Margaret ___?___. He appears in the 1850, 60, 70, 80,
and 1900 cenus reports for Bedford Co. Children were: Bernard (Barney), Levi, Matilda Jane (Milly), Francis, Julie, Mary, Margaret, Lavina, and Henry F. Bernard lived for some time in Allegany Co.,
Maryland, as did Francis. I have tried to connect Jacob to the Loudoun Co., VA, Samuel DIEHL who moved into Bedford Co. in the 1780s, but to date have not had much luck. Any help would be
appreciated.
