Hi, Tom: Nice to learn that you might have some additional information about John Frederick Diehl. I notice that Anna Mary Diehl contributed the following: Booklet compiled by J. D. Haughtelin of Panara, Iowa, in 1917: John Frederick was born on Jan. 5, 1743. He arrived in Philadelphia via Rotterdam on the "Snow Squirrel," Oct. 21, 1761. Anna Mary also states: Family Tree disk corroborates information. It provides 4,100 names on various tree branches. Her query to you posted on Oct. 29, 2001 (22:27:37) reads: "I would be interested in your information and documentation of his birth place." I further note that you posted a message on Jan. 18, 2000 (19:39:57) to the effect that: John Frederick Diehl lived in Montgomery County, Pa.; was born in 1743, Rhineland Pfalz, Germany; died 1816; was married three times (Magdalena Harley, Mary, and Mary Somer/Summer Moehler); and had at least eight children (Mary, Jacob, Abraham, David, John, Phillip, Hannah, Elizabeth and Samuel). May I inquire if you have additional information, particularly regarding place of birth, parents and siblings, cemetery where he is buried, etc. Specifically: How did you learn that John Frederick was born in Rhineland Pfalz? And, is it your opinion that Johann Friederich Diehl and John Frederick Diehl are the same person? Your interest is appreciated. Robert
