Hello Cynthia,
Well i looked in the database and this is the inforamtion that I have.
Gladys E. Diehl born to Josiah D. Diehl and Effie Elizabeth Kinnison on Feb. 2, 1902 in McCook, Nebraska. Gladys married a man named Harland Wayne Calvin who was born May 22 1897 in Dundee County, Nebraska.
Now what I thought was unusal was that I also have the Crist surname in our database too. Would you happen to know if you are related to any Mongar's?? I am sorry that I couldnt be more help! But there seems to be a connection there with the surnames and places. Jacob Franklin Diehl(5-20-1843) married twice, once to Elvira Clark and she passed away and the second marriage was to Elizabeth jane Mongar and they had four childern. Josiah D. Diehl, Lillie Frances Diehl, Jacob Franklin Diehl and Paul Diehl. Now From Jacobs first marriage to Elvira they had three boys: Alfred, George and Frank. You might want to see if one of these childern might have named a child Gladys. Gladys is not a common name so it might be easy to find.
