Hi Michelle, I'm of the line of Joseph's grandson, Daniel. I have a copy of the descendants of Samuel and Margaretha (Ritchey) Diehl. My brother Don e-mailed me some info on Joseph Diehl (if it's the same one you are talking about) in my info. Samuel's father Joseph was born in 1699 and immigrated after 1740. He was born in Evengelisch, Esslinger,Neckarheis, Wuttenburg,Germany. His fatherwas Georg Diel, born abt 1679 and married Anna Catherine Bocher. They also had a daughter Margaret b.1690 and a son Georg Frederick b. 1696. I live in Bedford, Pa. and have recently found the tombstone of Samuel Jr. b. 1775. I hope I have been of a help.
