Further clarification: Adam's third wife was Elizabeth Daniel. His eldest son by his first wife, Jane Guyer, was also named Adam. The second Adam married Elizabeth Smith. I went to quite a few cemeteries before I understood that there were two Adams and two Elizabeths with different maiden names. This was the most difficult genealogical problem I had in putting together my family's history.
