Carol:
Your information is interesting, even tantalizing. Unfortunately, at this point, I cannot connect my Diehl's to it. I do not know very much about the Diehl family. There was an anglicized reference to Elizabeth Diehl: A report in a Berlin newspaper of her marriage in 1865 referred to her as Lizzie Deal. I have not seen a use of the surname Dell, but some members of the family could have used it. The only two references to her mother that included her surmane both used 'Roos'. The other surnames in your message have no meaning for me. Elizabeth Diehl married Isaac Huber, and after about 1875 they lived in Bracebridge, Ontario. Elizabeth died before 1910. I suppose it is conceivable she was the "Aunt Lizzy". Was there a post mark on that card?
I will keep your message and if I find a connection, I will let you know.
Ian.
