My Diehl family came from the Fischbachtal area of Hesse, just to the south of Darmstadt. In that same area is a town of Rimbach. There were Diehl's scattered throughout the area--many related. dMy ancestors were Johann Peter and his brother Johann Adam, both immigrating in the mid 19th C. to the Pittsburgh area. The town from which they came is Niederhausen, near Lichtenberg.
