I am hoping to find descendants of the Diehl family who originally came from Germany. They lived in New York in the 1860s and were in Ohio by 1880. Later the family moved to Wisconsin and were there in 1910 and 1920. Specifically, I would like to find PATTY ROSE DIEHL. I am not related to this family, but found an old photograph album with family photos. John Diehl was born in Germany in 1838. His wife was Abby, and she was also born in Germany in 1843. They had several children in New York State: Paul C. Diehl born 1863: John K. Diehl born 1866 in New York: Christian J. Diehl born 1871 in New York: Matilda E. Diehl born 1873 in New York. Christiana Diehl born 1875 in New York: Elizabeth Diehl born 1877 in New York: Peter Diehl born 1880 in Ohio. Also living with the family in 1880 was nephew, John Diehl born 1861 in New York. By 1900, John Diehl (born 1866 in New York) was married and living in Defiance, Ohio. He and his wife, Anna M. Diehl, had four children: Augusta, Raymond, Marie and Leo. This Diehl family is connected by marriage to the Legg family. The Leggs and the some of the Diehls lived in Bordulac, Wisconsin in the 1910 and 1920 census. The photos in the album are more recent, and show Patty Rose, Ralph, Mickey, and Joseph Francis. If you happen to know this family, please write to me at Lass53@aol.com. I am not trying to sell the photographs. Nancy Armstrong Notify Administrator about this message?
