Hi everyone! I am searching for my ancestor Friederich Balthasar Diehl, son of Georg Jakob Diehl and Marie Juliane Katharina Foltz . The family hails from Annweiler, Rhein-Pfalz Germany. Friederich emigtated to America in 1836, and settled in Buffalo, N.Y. where he is listed in the 1840 census with his wife Anna Maria (Amis)Diehl and a daughter (no name given) who was between 1-5yrs. old. I can not find any further information of what happened to Friederich or his daughter. His wife moves to Cincinnati with her brother's family by 1850, where she remains with them for several years. Can anyone help? I also have a connection to a German cousin who has an old book on Annweiler families, if anyone else is searching. Thanks!
