Eve Diehl is my Great Great Great Great Grandmother. I recently visited her grave in Radnor Cemetery and have pictures. The inscription is "Eve, wife of Peter Willey".
I went to the libraries and genealogical societies in the area and found no source for her maiden name. I found Peter Willey's will listing Eve as his wife and his children as George, Henry, Thomas, Samuel, Elisabeth, Catherine, Barbara, Christianna, Susan, Margaret, and Sarah. George is listed as his youngest son and he appeared to be living with his parents at the time of the will (2 Feb 1836).
So I have proof two forms of proof that Peter's wife's name was Eve but no proof that Eve's maiden name is Diehl. Does anyone have proof of Eve Willey's maiden name to prove that she is Eve Diehl?
