The following is about Joseph Deal, son of Jacob:
Appears in 1910 Census, Martin Township as Lumberman, self employed. His age is listed as 64, which supports his birth date of 1845. His wife, Sarah Catherine Esterline Deal is listed as 62 years old. Also listed is Edna Kennicutt, servant, age 18 and a bookeeper whose name I could not decipher.
The cemetery record apparently indicates that Joseph Deal was a soldier, but I do not know in what war.
His death record in Allegan County says he was a "millingand" and farming.
I found Joseph and Sara Catherine in the 1900 Census as head of household and occupation "Manufacture".
Listed as living in this household in 1900 were Joseph, Sarah, daughter Cora, daughter Mary and grandaughter, Mildred, age 6. I assume Mildred is the daughter of Mary since Cora would have only been 15 at the birth of Mildred.
