Dear Janet
I have a Jacob diehl in my family tree. All I know about him is he is the son of my great great grandmother. She was married to a Heiberger and came to America about 1849. She settled in Boonville Missouri where her first husband died. She married a Diehl and had at least two children. James Diehl and a Jake or Jacob Diehl. They were half brothers of my great grandfather, Blasius Heiberger. I know that both half brothers were still living in 1918 but don't know where they lived. They were no longer in the Boonville area. Does this sound like the same Jacob Diehl you have in your family?
