On 30 March I located the memorial stones of several DIEHL family members, since my VANFOSSEN ancestors are buried here in this cemetery, I'm confident that the DIEHL's buried here are connected to my great-grandmother Alpha DIEHL, who married John Allen Vanfossen.
The DIEHL family members I found in Mt. Carmel Community Church Cemetery in Saltcreek Twp., Hocking Co., OH, are: John F. DIEHL,Oct. 25, 1844-May 15 1925, Mary J., his wife Oct. 3 1846-March 16,1879, Margaret his wife bn.Apr.16 1851-Mar.31, 1921; Charles DIEHL,bn. Mar.10, 1879,d.Mar.13, 1879; Wesley DIEHL d. Apr.12 1908,aged 9y10m6d; Alfred DIEHL bn.Sep.22 1830,d.Oct.11 1880; Anna DIEHL,bn. 1912,d.1963. ORR, VANFOSSEN, SWACKHAMMER, SCHOOLEY,and ALDRIDGE are some of the families connected to my DIEHL ancestors. Feel free to email or post inquiries if you feel we share an interest in same branch.
