My Dickson/Dixons settled in Tate Co MS in the mid-1800s. All descended from John Dickson and Sarah (surname unknown) who died in Gibson Co. Tenn. 1836 and 1938, respectively. Their son, Jordan Dickson and wife Ann brought their children Sally, Nathan and Atless to Marshall Co. Miss before 1840 and died there. Nathan and Atless settled west of Senatobia in Tate Co. just prior to the Civil War. (It was Marshall Co. until the county split after the war.) I grew up in Senatobia, but your names are not familiar to me. Family members began spelling the name Dixon in the last couple of generations. I believe we are connected to Alabama Dicksons but have no proof.
