Lois Ann Post, 80, of Fergus Falls, passed away at the Pioneer Retirement Community in Fergus Falls on Tuesday, August 22, 2006. She was born February 26, 1926, near Erie, ND, the daughter of Cecile (Forrest) and William Dickson. She graduated from the Hunter, ND high school in 1944. She graduated from NDSU in 1948 with a degree in Home Economics. Lois married John H. Post on August 20, 1953 in Hunter, North Dakota. They were married for thirty years. She worked as a receptionist at the Worthington and Slayton, Minnesota veterinarian clinics and was a homemaker. She was currently a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, and was previously a member of First Presbyterian Church in Slayton, MN. She enjoyed sewing and knitting, church activities, cats, and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters. She lived with Multiple Sclerosis for fifty years.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Dickson, her mother, Cecile (Forrest) Dickson Doe, her stepfather, Roland Doe, and an infant daughter, Diana Lynn.
She is survived by her children, David (Linda) Post, Ristertown, Maryland; Sheryl (Rev. Jon B.) Olson, Fergus Falls; grandchildren, Danielle Olson, and Jessica Olson, of Fergus Falls; sister, Betty Holes, Moorehead (formerly of Hunter, ND); and nieces, Barb Holes-Dickson, Beverly Bateman, Brenda Vesterso, and Bernadette Hunter.
Memorials are preferred to Hope Lutheran Church, 1309 Stony Brook Road, Fergus Falls, MN, Pioneer Retirement Community, 1006 South Sheridan, Fergus Falls; or the MS Society."
