Who were the children of your John Dickson (b. c 1772 in NC)? Is that the same John, b. 1772, that married Margaret McKissick and was a son of Gen. Joesph Dickson? You mentioned Mary Holland being John's first wife, was Margaret McKissick a second wife?
I thought for awhile Gen. Joseph Dickson's son Ezekiel was mine, but his birth date doesn't fit. I believe that particular Ezekiel with brothers Robert and Joseph moved on to Arkansas to live.
My Mary A. and your Cynthia H. are probably cousins of some sort. I haven't actually connected my Mary A. with Ezekiel Dickson as yet, but the 1830 and 1840 TN census shows him having children that could be Mary. She was married in 1848 in Fayette Co. TN...and Ezekiel was in Fayette Co. for the 1850 census. The probability of Ezekiel being Mary's father is good, but am searching for primary proof of some kind. Nice hearing from you.
