Looking for information on George W. Dickson. Born 1811 in NC. Family tradition is that he ran away from home when he was 12. Went to Jefferson County, GA. Married Eleanor Jones in GA about 1838. Haven't been able to trace him to any specific place in NC. Do not know any of his Dickson relatives except some descendants. Also looking for descendants of George, specifically the children of his son Thomas Jefferson Dickson (Thomas' wife was Elizabeth A. Stapleton, also from Jefferson County, GA.) Am very willing to share what little info. I have.
