Yes, I'm working my wife's DICKSON line and participate in a DICKSON family research group. The name ADAMS was a common surname found in an area called Yellow Creek in Dickson Co. which is where I've got this DICKSON clan placed. I have an estate sale document of a John DICKSON from Dickson Co. TN (1823). There waa Sarah ADAMS (perhaps a middle name?) who purchased a skillet at that estate sale but no other ADAMS. Three of John DICKSON's sons moved to Carroll Co. Two plus the widow of the third, are there in the 1830 census. Other surnames associated with the DICKSON family include ANDERSON, MORRISON, NESBITT, ADKINS, especially LATIMER, and McKERNAN. I'm certain NESBITT, LATIMER and McKERNAN are in Carroll County that are likely associated and throw all the others just to see you find any connection with them. I have no evidence of the surname ALEXANDER although a Alexander DICKSON was closely associated with the family in Dickson County. I don't read anything into that. Any bells ringing????
