Seeking information on any DICKSON families with connections to any HENDERSON or COLWELL families in Bedford Co, Tennessee from about 1810 on. One of my ancestors was named Abigail Colwell Henderson, b.1793 in NC and married William DRYDEN in 1816 in Bedford Co, TN. She used the surname DICKSON in one of her children's name. Her brother-in-law, Thomas Dryden married Mary Henderson Dickson in 1824 in Bedford Co and they used the surname COLWELL for one of their children. In addition, a sister-in-law, Rebecca DRYDEN, married a Joseph DICKSON also in Bedford Co, TN. I can find the surnames DICKSON, COLWELL, HENDERSON and DRYDEN in War of 1812 records, so I know the families were in the same area.
