Looking for the parents of J.E. Dickson,
Oliver Dickson and Lewis Dickson. J.E. Dickson served in the Civil War Company L 8th
Washington D.C. was part of escort Duty
for Hearse. Stationed in D.C. August 13, 1864
Annadale, Fairfax County, Va. March 16, 1865
Fairfax County Court House, April 13, 1865 as per 3 letter that he wrote to his Aunt Julia Gorman. Aunt Julia was married to Joe Gorman
who also served in the Civil War he was down by the surrender of Lee's army in Richmond.
Lewis Dickson his brother was a soldier and
possibly went to California. Oliver Dickson a relative was captured twice and wounded badly. Uncle Fletch is spoken of in the letters. Also, a girl named Emma who moved to Chicago and married someone else. Aunt Julia Gorman is believed to live in Pa but possibly Tenn. Please contact me if you know this family.
