Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Albert was actually born in 1840. His son, my father, was born in 1912. He was 72 when my father was born. He died in 1914 or 1915. He served in Company I, 16th Missouri Infantry in the Confederate Army. Albert walked with a limp, possible an inheired condition( I have a cousin born with a club foot) or possible a Civil Was injury or something else.
