Ichabod Dickinson b 1818 NY, to MI & CA

Ichabod Dickinson, born 1818 in Nassau, Rensselaer County, NY (son of Lewis and Clarissa Dickinson) married Sarah Carpenter (daughter of Joel & Pamelia [Bennett] Carpenter) about 1839 in Oswego County, NY. In 1850 he was in Rock County, Wisconsin. About 1851 he and his brother, Charles, went by ship around Cape Horn to California and eventually settled in Shaw's Flat, Tuolumne County. In 1900 he was in Merced County, CA. He died in 1908 near Toledo, Lincoln County Oregon

Ichabod's son, Isam Lewis Dickinsin married Mary Elizabeth (Gear) Bourne in Waukesha County, Wisconsin on 3 July 1866 and moved to California by train about 1870 and settled in Shaw's Flat.
