"The Settlers of the Beekman Patent, Dutchess C0., NY," Frank Doherty,Vol. IV, p. 301 shows that Deborah Dickinson , b. abt. 1770 and daughter of Christopher Dickinson, b. 1729 and resident of Canaan Town, Columbia Co., NY. by 1790 married a John Furman, date not given and probably in Canaan Town. Does
anyone have additional information on this John Furman, such as b., d.,parents, the marriage date, he and his wife's children, where theylived, etc.? I am working on the Furman family and am particularly interested whether this might be the John Furman, b. 1776 and who lived in Berne, Albany Co., NY. by 1800 and raised a family there.
