John and Robert Henry Dickinson

I am looking for information on the Dickinson Family from Albemarle and Spotsylvania Counties, VA. I have the most recent information on Robert Henry Dickinson (26 Oct 1839 - 11 Feb 1923) who married Mary "Dolly" Frances Hicks (11 Dec 1836 - 13 Mar 1925). Robert's father was John Dickinson (1802 - 1882/85) and wives were possibly Nancy Whitlock and Lavina Emily Martin. John's parents are unknown, possibly Battle Dickinson, but I am totally uncertain. Robert Henry Dickinson served in the Civil War (Confederacy, Company D, 30th Virginia Regiment). Robert's wife's parents were John Robert Hicks and Marina "Betty" E Whitlock. Any information would be appreciated.
