My ggrandfather, Charles Burn(e)s Dickinson, b. 14 Nov 1806, probably in NY, father was John Dickinson, mother ______Brinkerhoff; family lore says he was raised by his maternal aunts because his parents died. He m. Maria Louise Mundy 1836 in Metuchen NJ; they later moved to Mobile AL I have a great deal of material about her and her ancestors. Am searching for connections of Charles B.; my grandmother told me C.B. was descended from Anneke Jans thru the Brinkerhoff line. but this is my brick wall. I found a John H. Dickinson in the 1790 census of Fishkill , Dutchess Co., NY, and there were Brinkerhoffs in thise same list, so am pursuing that lead. thanks so much for any help or advice..
