Here is an update on what I have found so far. Here goes what I have on my line. On October 21, 1845 Jonathan J. Dickinson married Miss Mary Hawes of Warkwick Township, Chester County, PA. 1850 Census for Minersville, Schuylkill CO., PA Jonathan Dickenson age 28, est b. year was 1821 was a teacher "History of Schyylkill Co. PA has Jonathan J. Dickerson and Ebner Dickenson as teachers prior to 1853. 1856 Iowas State Census J. J. Dickinson age 35 was a teacher in his first year in Anamosa, Jones Co., Iowa March 1857 Founder and first master of I.O.O.F. 1860 Iowa Census, age 39 and he is now a Justice of the peace. Anamosa City Officers has J. J. Dickinson listed in 1858, 59, 60, 61, & 62. 19th of January, 1861 he was at a meeting to support the Union. No record of his death in 1863 there which I have had researched. In 1870 all but two of his children had moved back to PA and were domestic's in homes. Some property was, around 1865 to 1867, sold by the sheriff for back taxes in Jones Co. Iowa. Mary Haws, wife b. May 17, 1828 and died 1911 CO Lewis Cass born in 1846 PA Jane B or E boarn 1848 or 49 PA Isaiah Jones b. Sept 23, 1851 PA Meriam Theresa, b. April 23, 1854 PA Ida Samantha, b. Nov 30, 1857 Iowa Florence Isabella, b. Sept 20, 1858 Iowa Elva and Alice, b. Aug 19, 1861 Iowa In 1870 Mary was in North Coventry iving with her brother, Jane was still in Iowa as a domestic and Lewis had started a family in Iowa. Alice lived in North Coventry, Ida in Pottsville, Isaiah in Reading and Elva in Worchester. Alice lived with the Bush family, Ida with the Hatfield family, Isaiah with the Tobias family, and Elva with the Gotwals family. In 1880 Mary is married to Samuel Fenstermacher and has a 7 year of daughter named Filena and my line, ALice is living with them. in 1885 Mary, Elva, Alice and Filena are living in Arapahoe County, CO. Thank you for any help you can give me. I am looking for someone from my Dickinson line to test for DNA or has additional family information. I have had good luck on brick walls with my Graham line as well as my Smith and Bryant line using DNA testing. I kept the spelling's as they appeared in the records.
