Off the top of my head I know that Jane Walker's (1804-1875) lineage leads back to the original WALKER to arrive in America, which was Richard Walker in Lynn, MA in 1630. I have ancestors from this line on both my mother's side and on my father's. As for spouse Joseph Dickinson (1784-1867), I have several of the generations noted that preceeded him.
The Mary Dickinson-Isaac Abbott pairing has been fairly well decided since I wrote that previous posting in 1999. Marriage records in Boothbay (where Isaac was from) and in Wiscasset (where Mary was from) both have the recorded date of their marriage listed. Mary is not found with parents Joseph & Lydia in 1870 census because she had married Abbott previous to that date and they can be found together in Boothbay census in 1870.
Sophie Nason is in fact the sister of Lydia (Nason) Dickinson, as you speculate. Sophie married Oliver Dickinson in 1851...he's the brother of my Joseph Jr and your Silas, and yet another son of Joseph Dickinson and Jane Walker. Oliver Dickinson and his wife Sophie eventually settled in Boothbay with their 5 children.
I will contact you directly to swap some data, including an interesting DICKINSON genealogy manuscript that's a must-have for those researching the Wiscasset line of this family.
