Apologies for the confusion and wrong information in my Sept. 01 message. My family in England willingly investigated early Dickerson/Dickinson families at my request and telephoned two weeks ago with the "confirmed" information about Philemon. Much to both of our disappointment, the researcher they contacted apparently simply read information from the IGI board and did not engage in valid research. Via a telephone call from them today, my English family indicated that they contacted the Norwich County records Office who holds all records for that area including the Port of Yarmouth and the Records Office can find no records at all for anyone by the name Philemon Dickinson/Dickerson, born/baptized in 1598. Again sincere apologies for having supplied wrong information, and many thanks to my family for their effort.
