I understand the frustrations--there were so many Amos, etc., it's difficult to sort them all out at times, especially if one doesn't have specific dates, middle names, exact locations. I am trying to locate Amos' father, Samuel, but have no information other than he was from England originally. No date of birth, no place of birth, etc. I don't know if he had siblings. It's like a puzzle with some of the pieces missing, and we work to try to locate the missing pieces. My grandfather worked vigorously to track all of this, but he passed in 1958, and no one in my family has really improved on what he and Fred Church were able to do. Much of what Fred Church did, was really based on information and research my grandfather Albert provided him.
Good luck and you can be sure, Polly, if I find any additional information, I'll pass it on.
