The Dickinsons of Cottonwood, AZ descend from Samuel Cotton Dickinson b abt 1827. He is on the 1850 Iowa US Census in Van Buren Co. He gives his age as 23 and his birthplace as Ohio. He is married to Adeline Green and after her death, still in Van Buren Co., he married Nancy Green. By 1870, he has moved to MO., and in 1875 moves by wagon train to AZ. In 1870 he gives his birthplace as NJ and in 1880, he gives it as NY. I am still searching for his parents.
